In today’s gospel, Jesus is pretty direct when he tells us
to love our enemies. This gospel always
causes me to ask the question, “Do I have any enemies?” I don’t think I do, and I don’t think I hate
anyone. Yes, there are people that may
rub me the wrong way, but are those my enemies?
Maybe a good question to reflect on today is if we have any enemies, and
if we do have “enemies” why do we classify them as such and what can we do love
them as Jesus tells us?
